PCTS are an approved City & Guilds centre providing the NVQ Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice. The national qualification for Independent Advocates. A 4-unit NVQ with 3 mandatory units exploring all aspects of advocacy practice, the history and development of Advocacy, Advocacy models and practice as well as the legal frameworks that Advocates need to be aware of.
The 4th unit is selected from a choice of:
allowing the candidate to specialise in the area of their practice ot preferred practice.
Whether you are already working in a formal Advocacy role, in a paid capacity or as a volunteer, or if your work includes aspects of Advocacy but within another role, or even, if you are providing informal Advocacy support to others, we can support you to find the best route through the qualification - with dedicated Assessor and team support a range of creative learning resources our focus is on your demonstrating your skills and knowledge in relation to Independent Advocacy practice.
